HBCA is committed to being a Christ-centered institution of higher education. At the center of this commitment is the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son and Word of God. This commitment calls for all faculty, staff, and students to integrate the Christian faith in all learning and academics. HBCA is committed to God’s truth as revealed in the Holy Scripture, and this truth will be the foundation for all learning. (Matthew 7:24-25)
HBCA realizes that parents are primarily responsible for the education of their children. Therefore, we will be focused on strengthening relationships within the family by offering biblical training for men to become godly husbands and fathers, women to become godly wives and mothers, and assisting them in training up their children in the way they should go. (Titus 2:1-8, Ephesians 5:18-28, Ephesians 6:1-3, Proverbs 22:6)
HBCA will strive for excellence in every aspect. We are taught from the Bible, to do all things as unto the Lord. (Colossians 3:17, I Corinthians 10:31) This focus on excellence will encompass all spheres of life and conduct and HBCA faculty and staff will seek to carry this out with humble hearts before God and man.
Scripture affirms that we are to love the Lord with all our heart, our soul, and our mind. (Deuteronomy 6:5) HBCA seeks to instill in its students a lifelong pursuit of learning, wisdom, discernment and service to God. HBCA will equip students with tools and support to maximize their learning toward a life of service to our Lord. We will utilize on-line learning tools as much as possible, equipping students to be able to excel in college and work environments that rely on technology for learning and communication.
HBCA sees each student through a missional purpose. We strive to equip and educate students to engage the world through obedience to the Great Commission. (Matthew 28:19-20) HBCA desires to develop servant leaders with the characteristics of Christ and a heart for missions.
HBCA will strive to create a community where students, staff and faculty will relate to one another in Christian charity and compassion. Creation in the image of God is the basis for human dignity and uniqueness, and is therefore, affirmed for all persons. We will be committed to the commandment to love others as ourselves (Matthew 22:39) and endeavor to build a community where everyone is encouraged and strengthened in Christ.
