Hope Baptist Christian Academy: Education as a Ministry

Kids and bus
At Hope Baptist Church (HBC), we take very seriously the Scriptural commands to raise children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Deuteronomy 6:7, Ephesians 6:4). As our ministry endeavors to help people come to “Know Jesus, and Know Him Better”, a core part of that work has always been to come alongside families to equip them in foundational principles to lead and develop children to know Christ as Savior and then to grow in grace and knowledge of Christ as Lord and Savior (2 Peter 3:18).

We believe these truths are not separate from the academic knowledge and skills needed to carry out our Scriptural mandate to rule over and be faithful stewards of this earth (Genesis 1:28). In fact, a Biblical world view is essential to properly frame academic knowledge to avoid corrupting the fulfillment of our God given purpose as ambassadors of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20), bringing Him glory (Isaiah 43:7) as we serve Him (Ephesians 2:10) and are transformed into the image of Christ (Romans 8:29).

Hope Baptist Christian Academy is an extension of HBC’s ministry services to offer families an opportunity to have their children gain a high quality, Christian education on the campus at HBC, where we can integrate Scriptural truth into academic subjects and come alongside families that desire to see their children be equipped as young men and women for a lifetime of service to God for His glory.
